From Brush to Build-Ready: Our Services
From one acre to a hundred, we tailor the scope to your land, timeline, and goals:
Ponds & Lakes – Site selection, soil testing, dam/keyway construction, clay liners compacted in lifts, and properly set spillways/overflows.
Land Clearing & Grubbing – Boundary marking, selective tree removal, stump/root grubbing, debris haul-off or controlled burn (where permitted).
Underbrushing / Forestry Mulching – Low-impact visibility and access improvements with an even mulch layer that helps with erosion control.
House & Barn Pads – Engineered elevations and compaction for long-term stability.
Driveways, Parking Lots & Culverts – Bases compacted in lifts; culverts sized for local flows to protect entrances and roads.
Rough & Final Grade – Shape water movement correctly, then finish smooth for sod, seed, or immediate use.
Excavation & Demolition – Trenching, removals, and safe tear-downs with debris management.
On-Site Planning & Consulting – Walk-throughs and phasing that save time and money across project stages.
What Sets Our Team Apart?
Graham Land Services has over 30 years of experience in landscape design and drainage. We know what it takes to make overgrown woods turn into a dream site with a pond, we use the dirt from that to build a home pad, and we provide space and materials for driveways and parking lots.
Our team is very careful about the trees we take or keep when land clearing. We only keep the ones that are healthy, beautiful, and nonevasive, and we ensure that your land drains properly.
We have top-of-the-line, well-maintained equipment that makes us more efficient and able to do a nicer job, and we are always adding equipment to get even better at what we do.

Frequently Asked Questions
What areas does Graham Land Services serve?
We’re based in Anderson, Texas and serve a roughly 70-mile radius — covering Grimes, Montgomery, Brazos, Washington, Waller, Austin, Walker, San Jacinto, Polk, Trinity, Madison, Houston, Leon, and Robertson Counties. For larger, multi-phase projects we travel beyond that range. If you’re not sure whether we cover your area, just call and we’ll tell you straight.
How do I get an estimate?
We do on-site estimates — not phone quotes. Site work pricing depends on terrain, soil conditions, vegetation density, drainage, and access, and none of that can be accurately assessed without walking the property. We schedule a visit, walk the land with you, and follow up with a written, itemized estimate. There’s no cost for the walk-through and no pressure to commit.
What's the first step when starting a land clearing or site work project?
The first step is a property walk-through. Before any equipment is scheduled, we assess your drainage patterns, soil conditions, existing vegetation, and your goals for the land. That walk-through shapes a sequenced plan that keeps the work in the right order — so clearing doesn’t have to be redone before grading, and grading isn’t undone before the pad. Starting with a plan consistently saves our clients time and money.
Do you build ponds?
Yes — pond and lake construction is one of our core services. We handle the full process from soil testing and site selection through basin excavation, dam construction, keyway installation, clay liner compaction, spillway design, and final finishing. We’ve built stock tanks, fishing lakes, and irrigation reservoirs across East and South Texas. Ask about our half-acre pond special when you call.
What types of land clearing do you offer?
We offer full land clearing and grubbing (including stump and root removal), forestry mulching, underbrushing, and selective clearing that preserves desirable trees. The right method depends on your property and what you’re building toward — we’ll recommend the best approach during the walk-through.
Do you build house pads and barn pads?
Yes. We construct house pads, barn pads, shop pads, and equipment storage pads to elevation and compaction specifications. On East Texas clay soils, proper compaction in controlled lifts is essential — a pad that isn’t built correctly will settle and shift over time. We hand off pads that are genuinely ready for the foundation crew.
What equipment do you use?
We run well-maintained CAT and John Deere dozers, excavators, and skid steers, and we match the right machine to each task. Our 9-person crew includes 4 seasoned operators. Using the right iron for the job means faster production, tighter tolerances, and less unnecessary ground disturbance.
